Uses of Apple Cider Vinegar
If you've been careful in adding ACV to your chickens feed and water to prevent coccidiosis, increase egg production and for all of its amazing health benefits, you might be wondering what else you can use ACV for! There are so many other things you can do with ACV, and we're excited to tell you a few ways you can use it around your home!
Household Cleaner
A lot of people like to use ACV as a household cleaner. It's all-natural and gentle. Vinegar contains acetic acid which is used to clean and shine windows. It can also remove water stains, gunk, and anything off of counters except for natural stone. You can also use it to clean hard water in coffee machines and water dispensers. If you have ever discovered mildew on your clothing, have no fear, it will deodorize the mildew. Some people use it to rinse their hair. If you want to try that out, dilute it with water first and then use it as a rinse.
ACV is a great cleaner for chicken coops as well. The acetic acid will kill a lot of bacteria and it will also help reduce odor in the coop.
Health Benefits
ACV acts as a probiotic in balancing your chickens diet. It's safe and delicious for your chickens.
Overall
Apple Cider Vinegar, used sparingly, will help support your chickens gut health and helps their water and coop stay clean. However, the best way to keep your chickens healthy is to ensure they have plenty of space in their coop, give them plenty of water and a balanced diet.
